After graduating from the University of Oxford, she worked at JO Hambro Capital Management. Joined Ruffer in 2010 and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment following completion of the CISI Masters in Wealth Management in 2012. She has been an Investment Director in the UK Wealth team since 2019.

Joined Ruffer in 2013, having graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA Honours in biological sciences. She manages portfolios for private clients in the UK and Channel Islands. She is a fellow of the CISI, following completion of the CISI Masters in wealth management.
Our investment service

Ruffer provides a discretionary investment management service.

This means clients delegate investment decision-making to us.

We try to provide a service that combines good investment returns with first class Guernsey based administration and clear reporting.

Clients have direct access to a dedicated portfolio manager in the UK who regularly visits the Channel Islands. The portfolio manager oversees all aspects of the client’s relationship with Ruffer, supported by a wider team.

Allister Cleal, Managing Director

Has specialised in offshore private client trust and company administration business since 1991. Experienced in a wide range of offshore fiduciary services including administration of family trusts, commercial and residential property holding and development companies, investment and cash management services, financial product companies and employee benefit trusts. Experience of dealing with international client base including assisting with reporting to tax authorities including UK, France and US.

Helen Kaines, Director, Compliance Officer

Has specialised in offshore private client trust and company administration business since 1990. Responsible for portfolios of high net worth clients with a goal to achieve client satisfaction and retention, ensuring appropriate levels of client relationship, fiduciary and transactional risk management.Treasurer and committee member of the Guernsey branch of the Chartered Governance Institute since November 2011.

Keith Betts, Non-executive Director

47 years experience within the fiduciary sector. Previously Chief Executive Officer of Newhaven Trust Company (Channel Islands) Limited (2004-2013), Managing Director of CIBC Bank and Trust Company (CI) Limited (1985-2001), past Chairman of Guernsey International Bankers Association. Directorships include trust companies, investment management companies and collective investment schemes as well as those relating to private clients.
