uffer is an independent business owned by members of the partnership and former employees. It was founded by Jonathan Ruffer, Viscount Tamworth and Jane Tufnell in 1994.

We have always regarded the quality of our staff as fundamental to the service we offer our clients and we have sought to recruit and retain colleagues with institutional quality experience within the business. We have a dedicated research team to generate both asset allocation and stock selection strategies. The investment style is implemented within client portfolios by our dedicated team of investment directors who maintain client relationships and manage portfolios.

In 2004, after ten years of steady growth, the business formed an LLP to which it transferred all its investment business.
