Man covered in paper

Efficient reporting is an essential part of fund management. It must be accurate, and it must be concise. It is not just the rain forests which groan when a quarter of a ton of 'supporting documents' accompany each valuation. Accordingly, we have struck a careful balance to ensure the enthusiast can follow the minutiae of every transaction, but the one-stop investor asking 'How did I do this quarter?' does not have to read the equivalent of 'War and Peace' to find the answer.

Accordingly, the following range of statements are submitted:

Portfolio valuation
This is accompanied by an investment report.

Performance summary
This includes a comparison with the relevant stockmarket indices and is, for many, the most important document we send out.

Capital and Income statements
These summarise all transactions during the previous quarter.

Trading statement
A schedule of all transactions, also showing rights and scrip issues and profit or loss.

Copies of all these items can be supplied to the client's accountant or adviser and, in the case of corporate, trust or pension funds, there is no difficulty sending materials to each interested party.

At the end of each tax year we supply a consolidated tax certificate. This is approved by HM Revenue and Customs and represents a comprehensive record of all dividends paid and tax withheld both by UK and foreign tax authorities. This is a primary document and copies can only be produced in exceptional circumstances.  We also send out a capital gains summary for our UK private clients.

For those clients who want information more frequently, there is the ability to view their previous day's portfolio online. The information available consists of a portfolio valuation, a capital statement and a section summary. If you would like to have access to this facility please contact your fund manager, who will provide you with your log on details. To access the online portfolio either click here or enter from the main menu on the left of your screen by clicking 'Portfolio Online'.
