He established Ruffer Investment Management Limited in 1994, which transferred its investment business to Ruffer LLP in 2004. |

He co-founded and was Chairman of Ottakar's plc. He is Non-Executive Chairman of Baronsmead VCT 4 plc. He became MP for Ludlow in 2005. He joined Ruffer in 2002. |

He graduated from Oxford and worked for Allied Dunbar Asset Management as Senior Investment Manager before moving to Threadneedle Investment Managers Ltd as Head of European Equities. He joined Ruffer in 2006 and is co-manager of the CF Ruffer Total Return Fund. |

He joined Ruffer in 2005 and manages the CF Ruffer Equity and General Fund. |
