The Buying Process

1. First you need to download the simplified prospectus (which includes the application form).
   
   
2. Once you have printed these forms out, you only need to fill in the first side of the application form (unless you are an adviser or Agent).
   
   
3. Please note, for CF Ruffer Equity & General Fund and CF Ruffer Total Return Fund there is a choice of either Accumulation shares (where the income is reinvested) or Income shares (the income is paid out to you semi-annually). By filling in the details of your bank account, it will be assumed that you wish to invest in income shares. If you would like to invest in accumulation shares then leave this section blank.
   
   
4. To comply with money laundering legislation, Capita will need a photocopy of the last pages of your passport signed by a 'professional or responsible' person (such as a lawyer, banker, accountant, teacher or doctor) and accompanied by a statement that they 'have seen the original passport, and that the photograph is a true likeness'.
   
   Capita will also need to see a copy of a utility bill which confirms your address.
   
   
5. Please enclose a cheque payable to Capita Financial Managers Limited for the amount that you wish to invest and send it, together with the application form and money laundering documents, to:

6. On receipt of the above, Capita Financial Managers will buy the shares for you. The dealing point is every Wednesday at 1000.

What Happens Next

• The shares will be registered in your own name at your home address.
  
  
• A copy of the confirmation of this purchase will follow after purchase.
  
  
• You can track the price of the Fund in the Financial Times (listed under Ruffer LLP in the Managed Funds section of the FT).
  
  
• You will receive regular updates, which are also posted here on the website.
  
  
• If at any stage you wish to redeem any or all, of the holding, please contact Capita Financial Managers. Their dealing number is 0845 601 9610.
